Silicone Bra Inserts

 

Just the other day, I went shopping with a friend who is quite busty. Finding a bra that fit her has been quite an ordeal because most retailers do not keep a large stock of 40 D bras on hand. The bra she was shopping for needed to be a demi bra to wear underneath her wedding dress. Over age 55, with a few extra pounds, the task was quite difficult. Hence, we looked online.

Many of the stores out in the malls, etc., have bras but for smaller sized women or young girls. What gives? Sure we don’t shop for bras that often but when we do, we spend quite a bit of money. So here are a couple of tips if you want to find a new bra for a specific event and clothing.

#! – If you are a plus size woman, go online to an online retailer like Lane Bryant, and see what they have available. Usually the plus size stores keep in stock what they plus size woman wants. Now, before you go purchasing the bra online, call the closest store and find out if they have it in stock. If they do, go try it on at the store. If they don’t have it, ask them to order it – and you can try it on at the store to see if it fits. Let them ship to their own stores.

#2 – If you haven’t been measured in some time, go get measured. Find a boutique lingerie and bra store and get properly fitted. Oprah Winfrey did a show a couple years ago that covered the topic of women and bras. It was quite surprising how many people walk around with the wrong size bra on!

#3 – Make sure you are comfortable in whatever you decide to purchase. No matter how pretty or inexpensive a bra is, comfort trumps all.

#4 – Make sure the bra fits the outfit you want to wear it with. Take the outfit with your for the fitting. Make sure it is correct.

#5 – Take a girlfriend with you who will give you an honest opinion!
