Add Pizzaz To Your Wardrobe – Bras!Panties! Silicone Bra Inserts!

It is amazing how we all can get into a rut from time to time. We see the outward appearance of the world but have little time to objectively look at ourselves. Does this describe you? It’s pretty bad when even the “unmentionables” look like they are grandma’s rags…..so, let’s take action! Let’s start with your bras and panties. How do they look? Do they fit you correctly? Have you lost or gained a few pounds since your last major purchases or do you just need to have a boost, like a bra insert, that will help even out what you already have? Let’s start here.

1. Get Properly Measured For Your Bra

There are a number of places online that can give you guidance on how to measure yourself for bras. However, I would go to a bra boutique or store where they can measure you properly. Most women are walking around with the wrong bra size on and they don’t even know. Like the rest of life, we get so comfortable with what we have on we don’t bother to look to see what has changed from  year to year. Put on your favorite bra and ask yourself a) does the bra fit properly b) does it look worn out c) am I able to wear the bra underneath the majority of clothes I own?

2. Purchase A Couple Bras you like

Once you have identified your proper size, purchase two different brand bras you really like and wear them for a couple weeks. If the two new bras are keepers, purchase two more of the same brand. Continue shopping for another two bras you like…and repeat the process until you have enough bras you need. If the bras fit great, I would suggest writing down their model number before they get washed too many times. Bra tags are notorious for getting faded after a couple of washes and it would be a shame if you wear not able to find the same bra in the future just because you don’t have the model number.

3. Assess Any Specialty Bra Needs

Now that you have been measured for your proper bra size, identify any specialty bras or accessories that you need. If you wear special evening gowns, do you need silicone bra inserts to lift up your cleavage for the dresses to fit properly? What about a new bandeau bra or leisure bra. If you are like me, I have a tendency to do all my shopping for one part of the body at one time because I do not like to have to keep revisiting the same stores or purchasing and returning online merchandise. The point is, get what you mostly need all at once, unless you are a shopper and can take the time to look and compare looks and prices.

4. Get Rid of Your Old Bras

I know, I know. Your old bras are like a comfy blanket but do yourself and sometimes fragile self esteem  Staring at a bunch of rags will remind you of the “old” days…not the new and improved you.

5. Repeat This Process For Your Panties

Panties have to be absolutely comfortable so finding ones that don’t bind or fall down to your knees is vital. Go to a department store and locate one or two you like…and wear them. Again, it would be great if we could all buy our underwear in the dollar store but some of us just don’t have the figure to buy a size 4 underwear. Recently I bought a couple pairs of panties at Macy’s, then, went online and purchased more of them on Amazon after I was sure they would pass the tummy test. Again, throw away the panties that look like the dog has been sleeping on them or that the mice have chewed a hole through them. No one may never see your underwear but you know whether or not they are ready for the garbage.

Your bras and panties are the foundation to a great wardrobe. They must feel comfortable and have a great fit in order your entire wardrobe to look complete. Good luck ladies!
